Reached nearly 300,000 people. The work took a Bronze Award in Design Packaging and a shortlist in Film & Audio at the ADC*E 2025 edition.
背景
'Trash Never Sounded This Good' turned recycling into art. For client Gamtos Ateitis, MARIOS agency in Vilnius captured the real sounds of glass, paper and plastic sorting — recorded from a kinetic sculpture made of recycled packaging — and had top electronic artists sample them into music.
The outcome was a fully sustainable vinyl album, pressed from recycled plastic with paper covers, unveiled at the Baltics' biggest book fair and reaching nearly 300,000 people. The project took a Bronze Award in Design Packaging and a shortlist in Film & Audio at the ADC*E 2025 edition.
为什么有效
Sorting sounds are real found percussion — the idea needs no staged metaphor to work.
Releasing on a recycled-plastic vinyl makes the medium itself the proof of the message.
Electronic artists bring audiences who would never read a recycling leaflet.
A book-fair unveiling placed the album in a cultural setting rather than a waste one.
可以借鉴什么
Turning a chore into culture — giving waste a sound worth sampling — recruits artists' audiences as the campaign's distribution.
