Everybot's ThreeSpin Slim drops the wheels — three mop pads move and scrub at once
A Korean mop robot replaces its wheels with three rotating pads, so movement itself is scrubbing — iF Gold and Red Dot 2026.

What it had to solve
Robot vacuums had settled on a formula — wheels to move, a pad or brush to clean — that left the machine tall, and wheeled mops pressed lightly on the floor while their wheels left marks. Everybot, a Korean AI-service-robot maker, asked what a mop robot would look like if the cleaning surface itself did the driving.
How it works
A wheeled robot mop carries two systems that never meet: wheels that move it and cloths that clean it. Everybot's ThreeSpin Slim (TS450) collapses the pair into one — three rotating mop pads replace the wheels, turning and driving the robot while the machine's full weight presses the cloths into the floor.
The structural change produced a visible design win. With no wheel assembly to house, the TS450 slimmed to an 83-millimetre body, and the ROBO-SPIN mechanism became the product's signature rather than a component to be concealed. The pads scrub as they steer, so the robot's everyday motion is also its cleaning motion.
The idea earned the machine a rare double crown: iF Design Award Gold in March 2026 and a Red Dot Product Design award that April, placing the Korean maker among the few robot-vacuum brands to take top honours at two of the world's three major design competitions in the same year.
Why it lands
- Replacing wheels with mop pads removed a whole subsystem, which is why the body could get dramatically thinner.
- Body weight pressing on the cloths made contact cleaning stronger than wheeled designs that glide lightly.
- Exposing the ROBO-SPIN structure as the design gave the product a mechanic other brands could not easily imitate.
- Winning iF Gold and Red Dot back to back proved the technical idea read as premium design, not engineering.
What it did
In 2026 the TS450 won the iF Design Award Gold — its highest distinction — and then the Red Dot Design Award in Product Design, a double win across two of the world's three major design prizes that the company described as rare in the robot-vacuum market. Design press singled out how the ROBO-SPIN structure was translated into the product's form rather than hidden inside it.

Since then
Everybot's design R&D centre, recognised in 2024 as an official corporate industrial-design laboratory by South Korea's science ministry and KOITA, took credit for the double win, and the company said it would use the awards to push its robot cleaners from household appliances toward premium lifestyle products.
