What it had to solve
Pediatric neuro signs first appear as subtle differences in a baby's movements during sleep, but clinic visits are too short to catch them — so Eurofarma, AI company WideLabs and Ogilvy Health New York extended monitoring into the nursery.
How it works
Pediatricians only see babies in short windows, yet conditions like autism, epilepsy and cerebral palsy often announce themselves through small differences in how an infant moves and sleeps. Eurofarma, the Brazilian pharmaceutical group, teamed with AI startup WideLabs and Ogilvy Health New York to close that gap with a piece of hardware parents already have in the room: a device mounted over the crib.
Baby Minder continuously records an infant's movements (the design covers ages 0–24 months) and uploads them in real time. Cloud AI compares what it sees against datasets of typical and atypical motor patterns; when it detects irregularities it alerts the child's designated pediatrician with a short video clip and a preliminary analysis, so a doctor decides whether further investigation is needed. The idea was presented as an Innovation Lions finalist at Cannes 2025.
In 2026 the work won the Grand Clio Health for Artificial Intelligence in the Pharmaceutical category, with trade coverage counting nine Clio Health trophies across AI, Innovation, Design and Digital/Mobile, and Ogilvy Health New York was named Clio Health Agency of the Year. The case's core argument — replace episodic observation with continuous, home-based monitoring while keeping clinicians in the loop — is what separated it from a typical health campaign.

Baby Minder moved from a WideLabs project into a Eurofarma-backed initiative in 2025, presented as a finalist in the Innovation Lions at the 72nd Cannes Lions. It went on to win the Grand Clio Health 2026 for Artificial Intelligence and nine Clio Health awards for Ogilvy Health New York, which took the ceremony's Agency of the Year title. The campaign became a reference for using computer vision in early-childhood care, demonstrating that a pharma brand could advance screening by building a product rather than an ad.
