Netflix's Bandersnatch turns a Black Mirror episode into a branching film viewers control

In May 2017 Netflix's VP of product Todd Yellin pitched Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones on an interactive Black Mirror episode; they first refused, fearing a gimmick, until a story emerged that could only work as interactive: a 1984 programmer developing a choose-your-own-adventure game.
