What it had to solve
Build on AAA's 'The Start of Something Good' platform to tell the insurance story across home, auto and life stages — Fred & Farid New York's first insurance campaign for AAA Club Alliance.
The idea
Instead of a mascot, a three-member AAA band turns up inside real milestones — first homes, new babies, teen drivers — singing people through the moments they protect.
How it works
Films by Area 64 Films (director Nan Feix) follow real people at milestones — moving into a first home, welcoming a baby, teaching a teen to drive, planning retirement — while the band provides an unexpected live soundtrack; launched across TV, digital, social, radio and out-of-home across the AAA Club Alliance footprint.
What it did
No results yet — the campaign launched in October 2026. Its immediate effect is positioning: AAA telling a broader story than roadside rescue, with optimism instead of the category's fear playbook.
Background
AAA Insurance and Fred & Farid New York launched 'Insurance Never Sounded So Good', the agency's first insurance campaign for AAA Club Alliance, building on the 'The Start of Something Good' platform. Adobo Magazine reported the launch on October 11, 2026 with quotes from both sides: CMO Shuchi Sarkar said the work tells 'a broader story about how AAA protects members beyond the roadside', and creative chairman Farid Mokart said the goal was to avoid 'another mascot' in a category 'defined by mascots, spokespeople, and fear-driven messaging'.
The device is a three-member AAA band that appears throughout each story, providing a musical backdrop to real, unexaggerated moments — buying a home, welcoming a child, teaching a teen to drive, preparing for retirement — while the people stay the heroes of every scene. Ben Young, AAA Club Alliance's Director of Content & Brand, framed the choice: 'The most compelling stories aren't fictional characters or exaggerated scenarios. They're the real moments people experience every day.'
The campaign launched across television, digital, social, radio and out-of-home throughout AAA Club Alliance's footprint. Production was by Area 64 Films with director Nan Feix; the full credit list spans strategy, casting, sound and photography.
Why it lands
The category's default grammar — mascots, spokespeople and disaster scenarios — left an opening for optimism about what could go right.
A recurring in-scene band gives AAA presence without adding another mascot, in Mokart's words 'a more uniquely AAA way to make the brand's presence felt'.
The milestone list maps directly to the product line — home, auto and life insurance — without naming disasters.
It extends AAA's 'The Start of Something Good' platform, keeping one brand story across campaigns rather than starting over.
What you can take
When a category weaponizes fear and mascots, the differentiated device is a warm one: put the brand inside the scene as a helper — a band, not a pitchman — and keep the customer the hero.
Since then
The campaign began rolling in October 2026 across TV, digital, social, radio and OOH in AAA Club Alliance's territory; no performance results were available at launch.
