Hyundai's brand activation had to give 'Power your world' a human face: turning a proposition into raw emotion and an experience young footballers could truly engage with, rooted in the FIFA claim 'Next Starts Now'.

At a regular district cup final, half-time ends with a Götze pep talk — and the second half kicks off in a transformed full stadium with packed stands and drummers.

During a district cup final, two youth teams played the first half under normal conditions — empty stands, a few fans. At half-time they met World Cup winner Mario Götze for an emotional locker-room speech. When they returned, an ordinary youth pitch had become a full stadium: packed stands, hundreds of fans, drummers, big-match atmosphere. Director Matthias Freier captured it documentary-style with Gloria Studio — a 43-person team, nine camera angles, over 1,200 extras — produced entirely in-house.

INNOCEAN's Gloria Studio called it its most ambitious production, proving first-class production in-house; the film was built social-first to live where audiences are — their feeds.

Official FIFA World Cup Partner Hyundai, INNOCEAN Europe and in-house production unit Gloria Studio unveiled 'Pitch of Passion', an activation that gave Hyundai's 'Power your world' promise a human face, rooted in the FIFA claim 'Next Starts Now'. The setting: a regular district cup final between two youth teams, who became part of a top-secret, carefully orchestrated plan.

The first half ran under normal conditions — rather empty stands, a small number of fans. Half-time brought the surprise: an encounter with World Cup winner Mario Götze, who delivered an emotional motivational speech in the locker room. When the teams returned for the second half, everything had changed — an ordinary youth pitch had become a full stadium backdrop with packed stands, hundreds of fans and drummers, the atmosphere of a big match-day. In a single moment, an everyday game turned into a future that suddenly seemed within reach.

To preserve authenticity the team chose a documentary approach, with director Matthias Freier capturing the story alongside Gloria Studio. 'With a 43-person-team, nine camera angles and over 1,200 extras, we have demonstrated that first-class production can also be achieved entirely in-house,' said Norman Henkel, head of Gloria Studio, calling it the label's most ambitious project.

The surprise is aimed at the players, not the audience — their genuine reaction is the content, which is why the documentary approach matters.

The transformation happens in the un-showable moment: the teams are indoors with Götze while 1,200 extras fill the stands outside.

A youth district final is the perfect smallest possible stage: the gap between it and a full stadium is exactly the brand's promise made visible.

Producing in-house at feature scale turned an agency activation into a proof of capability for INNOCEAN's Gloria Studio.

Don't stage the dream for the camera alone — stage it for the people living it, and the documentary footage sells the promise better than any ad.

'With Pitch of Passion, we wanted to show that big dreams start small, and what it feels like when the future suddenly becomes real,' said Jens Eberth, director marketing at Hyundai Motor Deutschland. Alessia Bellini, general manager of INNOCEAN Europe, framed it as proof of what happens when brand promises are experienced in real life rather than staying on the surface. The film's social-first extension carried the story into feeds.
