要解决的问题
Modernise Geisha's romantic positioning for a younger audience while keeping the link between romantic moments and chocolate — and help Finns who find expressing feelings hard.
The idea
An entire restaurant of diners proposed at once: 14 love-shy Finns staged real proposals under seven hidden cameras and one-way mirrors
如何实现
A pop-up venue in Helsinki where couples believed they were on regular dates; Big Brother director Jukka Honkanen hid seven cameras in the decor and four studio cameras behind one-way mirror walls, with a live videomix on set. Cut to Tom Rosenthal's 'Go Solo', endline 'Every moment can be the Moment'.
产生的效果
14 proposals in one evening; a two-minute TVC aired on MTV3 after the 10 o'clock news, trailers and longer cuts on social, and a full-page engagement announcement in Helsingin Sanomat; claimed as the first time an entire restaurant of diners proposed.
背景
Geisha, Fazer's chocolate brand, had been a Valentine's Day favourite in Finland for 50 years, but its romance lived in traditional advertising. For Valentine's 2016, hasan & partners Helsinki proposed something different: instead of telling Finns that every moment can be the Moment, arrange the Moment and film it.
Fourteen love-shy bachelors and bachelorettes were briefed to bring their partners to a pop-up restaurant in Helsinki as if on a regular date. One by one, rings came out and proposals followed — tears, smiles, laughter — recorded on seven cameras hidden in the restaurant's decor plus four full-sized studio cameras behind one-way mirror walls, mixed live on set by Big Brother director Jukka Honkanen.
The footage became the campaign: a two-minute TVC on national network MTV3 after the 10 o'clock news, cut to Tom Rosenthal's 'Go Solo', with 15-second trailers and longer versions on social and a full-page print ad in Helsingin Sanomat announcing the engagements. As far as the team knew, it was the first time an entire restaurant of diners had proposed in one evening.
为什么有效
The stunt generates its own media: real proposals are news, so the TV buy and the newspaper announcement feel like reporting, not advertising.
The production design (one-way mirrors, live videomix) solved the classic hidden-camera problem of covering one unrepeatable evening from every angle.
The insight is culturally precise — senior brand manager Rasmus Bange: it is sometimes hard for a Finn to express feelings, so the brand literally helps pop the question.
It modernises a 50-year-old romantic property without breaking it: the endline reframes chocolate as the companion of real moments.

Participation beats testimony: don't film actors being romantic — stage the real moment your product belongs to and let hidden cameras catch it.
