Australia's streaming landscape is increasingly competitive. Ten years in, Stan needed its identity optimised for digital-first applications, reasserting leadership and staying consistent across a growing portfolio including Stan Originals and Stan Sport.

Evolve, don't reinvent: keep the short name, the full stop and the blue, and energise the toolkit with a 'Dynamic Dot' — the full stop set in motion to signal progress.

Hulsbosch reinforced the iconic full stop in the logo and the core blue kept since launch, added the 'Dynamic Dot' — a flexible graphic device that injects movement and signals progress — and backed it with robust guidelines, adaptable templates for Stan's in-house creative team, and an updated brand architecture integrating the platform's product propositions.

No subscriber or performance figures disclosed; the refresh gave Stan what Hulsbosch calls a refined, 'future-fit' identity meant to support its leadership ambition across every platform.

As Australian streaming platform Stan celebrated its tenth anniversary, it tasked independent brand and design agency Hulsbosch with modernising the brand while staying true to its roots — optimising for digital-first applications, reasserting leadership, and ensuring consistency across its growing portfolio including Stan Originals and Stan Sport.

The refresh builds on Stan's most recognisable assets. The short, punchy name stays central; the iconic full stop in the logo has been reinforced, underscoring Stan as Australia's entertainment and sport platform; and the brand's blue, core since launch, remains the dominant visual cue for recall in a crowded category.

Hulsbosch energised the toolkit with the 'Dynamic Dot', a flexible graphic device that injects movement and signals progress, plus robust guidelines and adaptable templates that let Stan's own creative team deliver high-impact communications across all touchpoints. 'Our approach was to evolve rather than reinvent,' said Hulsbosch creative director Marcel Wijnen; Stan executive director Dan Taylor said the refresh 'ensures our brand remains as bold and distinctive as the content we deliver'.

A decade-old full stop is a small equity, but animating it turned a piece of punctuation into a motion system every platform can use.

Keeping the blue and the name while changing the toolkit protected a decade of recall in a category where streams churn brands constantly.

Templates and guidelines handed the system to Stan's in-house team, so consistency scales with the portfolio instead of depending on the agency.

Anniversaries are the safe moment to evolve: keep the equities people recognise, and spend the change budget on motion systems and templates the in-house team will actually use.

The refreshed identity rolled out across Stan's platforms from August 2025; the material records no further milestones.
