Following 2025's 'Give Us the Finger', Oura wanted a sunnier, bigger-stage anthem that keeps hands — its brand code — at the center now that the brand and its community have arrived.

Turn hands into the citizens: real hand dancers, violinists and fingerboarders live full lives inside a 1:10 handmade model city, wearing the ring.

nice&frank and director Sam Walker built the sets in Prague over three weeks with Unit+Sofa and 35 master model-makers: a 20-foot city street, working miniature subway cars, a rooftop pool with real water, a skate park and a motorised miniature taxi, populated by hand performers from 14 countries choreographed by finger-breakdancer Lilach Chen. The film carries no dialogue at all.

No performance data yet — the hero film and OOH activations launched on 2026-10-08. The craft is the claim: an internally named 'Oura Handthem' built entirely by hand, on the argument that in a world of AI, handmade and tactile feel more precious than ever.

Oura's new campaign 'Wear Your Best Life', created by New York indie nice&frank and directed by Superprime's Sam Walker, turns hands into humans: they walk, skate, swim and play violin through a 1:10 scale physical city, wearing the ring. The film launched on October 8, 2026, accompanied by out-of-home activations.

The brief came from a production problem: an Oura ring is small and can get lost on screen, so the agency put the rings at the center of everything by making hands the central characters. Hands are already a brand code for Oura — the campaign follows 'Give Us the Finger', the 2025 debut work about aging — and head of creative Matt Kipper called building this world by hand 'a subtle way of putting our values on display.' The team gave the idea a name, the 'Oura Handthem', which CCO Laura Petruccelli credits as a north star that helped the idea travel through organisations.

The production treated hands 'with the same care and gravity you would give human characters': the Prague sets took three weeks with 35 master model-makers, and the cast — hand dancers, violinists, jugglers and fingerboarders from 14 countries — was choreographed by Lilach Chen, a finger breakdancer with millions of YouTube followers. The city is packed with hand-themed detail, down to a 'Metacarpal Police Precinct', a hand 'baby scan' and a sunbathing tan line; even model-makers whose work was finished stayed on set adding touches.

There is no dialogue or spoken word in the film, which the creatives attribute to the power of a simple idea. Petruccelli's framing for the handmade approach: 'In the world of AI, we are all craving handmade, tactile things. They feel more precious than ever before.'

It solves the product problem by inversion: the ring stays small, so the brand blew up everything else around it to 1:10 scale.

Handmade craft is the message as well as the method — a health-brand values statement made physical in the AI era.

Naming the idea ('Oura Handthem') gave a large crew and client a single handle for a weird concept, which kept it from being sanded down.

Casting real specialist hand performers instead of gloves-on-actors gave the characters rhythm and emotional physicality no CGI hand has.

When your product is too small to film, make the world around it oversized and handmade — scale and craft become the storytelling.

As of its October 8, 2026 launch, 'Wear Your Best Life' is live as a hero film with accompanying OOH activations. It is the second act of Oura's hands-led brand platform from nice&frank, after 2025's 'Give Us the Finger'; no performance results have been reported yet.
