The Ring turns 103 years of fight data into an AI boxing judge — Dubai Lynx Grand Prix

Boxing has decided fights with three human judges for over a century, leaving scoring open to bias and error. When the first Usyk–Fury fight ignited global outrage over judging, The Ring magazine — boxing's voice for 100 years — chose to act instead of comment. With BigTime Creative Shop and Genosha, it built the world's first AI-powered boxing judge, trained on 103 years of The Ring's own fight data.

The 4th Judge used computer vision to track every punch and produced an objective scorecard after each round, broadcast live on DAZN and TNT Sports during the Usyk–Fury rematch on December 21, 2024. Its 118–112 score for Usyk differed from the official 116–112, sparking a global debate about fairness. The launch reached 158 countries with 4.2 billion impressions and $23 million in earned media, and The 4th Judge returned for Beterbiev–Bivol in February 2025 — a permanent fixture rather than a stunt.
