What it had to solve
Represent Translated's promise — AI with the human touch of translators — as a story rather than a product demo
How it works
A short film directed by Koen Mortier, shot by cinematographer Grimm Vandekerckhove with music by Mario Braga and Emanuele Bossi, created by AUGE Communication under creative director Federica Ariagno.
What it did
Bronze Award in Film & Audio Online Videos at the ADC*E 2025 edition.
Background
For Translated, the online translation service, translating means enabling everyone to understand the world and to be understood — through AI but with the human touch of translators. AUGE Communication's film represents that 'miracle' through Lara, a little girl born with a special gift: the ability to speak all the languages of the world.
Lara's choice defines the film: she generously and positively declines to keep her gift for herself, sharing it with her entire community to help people — the story standing in for what translation does. The piece was directed by Koen Mortier for AUGE Communication, with credits including art directors Stefano Summo, copywriters Antonio Mitra and Federico Anelli, and creative director Federica Ariagno.
The work took a Bronze Award in Film & Audio Online Videos at the ADC*E 2025 edition.
Why it lands
A fable makes an abstract service — understanding and being understood — visible as one child's gift
The girl sharing her gift mirrors Translated's positioning: AI with the human touch of translators
An awards-verified craft team, including director Koen Mortier, gave the fable cinematic weight
What you can take
Personify the product's promise: translation as one child's superpower, shared freely, makes 'AI with a human touch' feel like folklore instead of technology.
Since then
The film stands in the ADC*E 2025 archive as a Bronze Award winner in Film & Audio Online Videos.
