A flagship campaign trailer for Riot's blockbuster mobile game, made with BBH Singapore as part of the global launch campaign.

The assembled New Holland team covered every aspect in-house — initial concept art, storyboarding, edit, animation, Houdini FX through final compositing at 3K — and released the film as 180VR on YouTube, with sound design by Massive Music.

Director Brendan Savage cited reactions from fans across the world; the spot was published in 180VR format on YouTube. No view or install figures were given.

Sydney design studio New Holland Creative directed and produced the flagship campaign trailer for the launch of Riot Games' League of Legends: Wild Rift mobile game, in partnership with BBH Singapore — a dream-like journey unveiled in 180 degrees that takes the viewer through the mythical League of Legends backstory.

The film centres on Viego: a powerful, unliving wraith tortured by an obsessive longing for his centuries-dead queen. Now the Ruined King, he controls the deadly Harrowings as he scours Runeterra for anything that might restore her, destroying all in his path as the Black Mist pours endlessly from his broken heart — while hope remains with the Sentinels who battle the dark.

The studio took the project from pitch to final delivery: concept art, storyboarding, edit, animation, Houdini FX and final compositing at 3K, with sound design by Massive Music. The spot was released in 180VR on YouTube, letting viewers stand inside the panorama rather than watch a frame.

The 180-degree format makes the viewer a participant inside the scene, not a spectator.

Viego's tragic lore gives a game trailer an actual story arc — longing, ruin and the Sentinels' hope.

One team covering concept art through compositing kept the world consistent at 3K.

Publishing in 180VR on YouTube extended the film's reach as an experience, not just an ad.

A cinematic lore trailer can carry a game's next chapter: one studio taking the project from pitch to final delivery keeps the myth coherent.

The trailer ran as part of Wild Rift's global campaign, with the game free to download on iOS and Android. No performance figures were reported.
