Launch Mac's Maverick Ultra Low Carb Bright Lager with out-of-home that breaks the mould, on the corner of Symonds Street, Auckland.

A standard wall became a sky scene complete with 3D parachutes and floating frames holding real cans mid-descent; Phantom Billstickers handled the creative and production.

Phantom's creative lead called the result 'bold, playful and impossible to ignore'; no reach or sales figures were disclosed.

Mac's new lager landed in style on the corner of Symonds Street, Auckland: an out-of-home activation by Phantom Billstickers in which cans of Mac's Maverick Ultra Low Carb Bright Lager appear to be parachuting into their own poster slots.

The installation transforms a standard wall into a sky scene, complete with 3D parachutes and floating frames that bring the Maverick spirit to life. Hovering above it all, a billboard declares the mission: 'Cleared to Land.'

'Mac's has always been about doing things differently — and Maverick continues that tradition,' said Phantom Billstickers creative lead Connor Lucas-Dyer. 'This campaign captures that attitude perfectly. It's bold, playful and impossible to ignore.' It was one of two beverage launches Phantom delivered that week, alongside a handpainted Kirin Hyoketsu mural around the corner on K Road.

A new product's arrival is the one story every launch shares — parachuting cans turn 'now available' into a mini-narrative.

Using the poster slots themselves as landing zones makes the media format the joke, not just the medium.

Low-carb lager is a crowded claim; physical craft in a busy street buys attention a standard poster cannot.

A launch deserves a physical verb: dramatise the arrival itself and the format — posters, walls, slots — becomes part of the story.

As of 2025-10-16 the installation was live at 111 Symonds Street, Auckland, with Phantom Billstickers credited for creative and production.
