What it had to solve
Bring Haus of Kühl, the brand's international experiential platform, to Nairobi for its first East African edition, celebrating music, dance, fashion, art and nightlife
How it works
Sk8City was transformed on September 26, 2026: South African acts KMAT and MfanaTouchLine joined more than 36 Kenyan DJs, dancers and musicians; a Silent Disco curated by Studio Can-V ran head-to-head DJ battles; the Meister Market sold streetwear by Have A Good Trip, Makasi Studios and Pe$os with limited-edition merch collabs.
What it did
The debut connected Jägermeister's global platform with Nairobi's creative community; no attendance or sales figures were reported.
Background
Haus of Kühl, Jägermeister's experiential cultural platform, made its Nairobi debut on September 26, 2026, transforming Sk8City into an immersive space with a Main Stage, a Dance Stage and a Silent Disco curated by Studio Can-V, where emerging DJs from its network battled head-to-head. South African acts KMAT and MfanaTouchLine joined more than 36 Kenyan DJs, dancers and musicians, including singer Iyanah and dancers Ian Tico and Thee Iconic.
Beyond music the event stacked brand worlds: a Manifest Speakeasy inspired by the sipping Jägermeister Manifest expression, a Meister Market with Nairobi streetwear brands Have A Good Trip, Makasi Studios and Pe$os plus limited-edition merch collaborations, and a retro Gaming Zone. Wellbeing was handled through the SafeNow app for quick alerts and a SafeNow Zone offering charging, Wi-Fi, water and ambient soundscapes.
Ephraim Manana, Senior Culture & Experiential Marketing Manager for Jägermeister in the Middle East & Africa region, called Nairobi's creative pulse powerful and said Haus of Kühl is about creating spaces where established and emerging creatives share one platform. It was the platform's first East African edition, carrying the brand's 'Anything But Ordinary' spirit.
Why it lands
Experiential platforms win scenes by platforming local talent as the majority of the bill, not the support act
Stacking music, fashion, art and nightlife in one venue turns a drinks brand into a culture host
A safety layer — alerts app and calm zone — made a nightlife event legible to a broader audience
What you can take
Global brands earn local credibility by giving the home scene top billing: imported acts headlined, but Kenyan talent outnumbered them and the market stalls were local streetwear.
Since then
As of the September 2026 debut, Haus of Kühl had connected its global platform with Nairobi's creative community for the first time, with the lineup spanning Kenya's nightlife subcultures and international acts from South Africa.
