Give prospective premium travellers in Australia a hands-on preview of Cathay's new premium cabins, celebrating the Aria Suite's arrival on the ground.

Curious Nation built a custom check-in desk issuing printed boarding passes, installed the Aria Suite and new Premium Economy seats to feel, added a photobooth for social sharing, instant giveaways and a prize draw for two return Business class flights — at Chadstone, Melbourne until 16 August and Westfield Chatswood, Sydney 21–23 August 2025, with Spark Foundry on media and Soda Communications on PR.

No results figures given; the activation ran across the two retail centres in August 2025.

In August 2025, Cathay Pacific brought the art of flight to the ground in Australia, celebrating the arrival of its Aria Suite in Business class and all-new Premium Economy seats with an immersive activation by Curious Nation, landing in Sydney and Melbourne shopping centres.

Curious Nation turned everyday retail spaces into an unexpected flight experience: passengers checked in at a custom-built airline desk complete with printed boarding passes, then stepped into the luxurious Aria Suite — sliding privacy doors, 24-inch 4K TVs with Bluetooth audio, LED suite lighting — or the new Premium Economy seats, letting them physically feel the difference before they fly.

The journey continued with a photobooth moment for social sharing, instant giveaways and an entry into a prize draw for two return Business class flights. Cathay's Genevieve Brock said the activation showcases the artistry behind the premium cabins in a way that connects directly with travellers, while Curious Nation's Steph Babin framed it as recreating a taste of the inflight journey in unexpected places.

The check-in ritual — desk, printed boarding pass — frames the mall visit as a flight.

Physical trial lets travellers 'feel the difference' no screen ad can show.

Photobooth and giveaways seed social sharing from the mall floor.

The prize draw converts passing curiosity into registered intent to fly Business.

Sampling a premium product works when the framing does the selling: a boarding pass makes trying a seat feel like travel, not retail.

The experience ran at Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne until 16 August and Westfield Chatswood in Sydney from 21 to 23 August 2025, supported by high-impact in-centre media and public relations.
