What it had to solve
C Spire, a regional US wireless company, needed its iPhone 18 Pro launch to sound like C Spire rather than every other carrier's spec rundown.
How it works
A :30 hero spot across TV/OTT, OOH, digital display, search, social, retail and web, informed by three personas Lewis defined: Apple Aficionados, Apple Loyalists on a Budget, and Best-in-Class Tech (non-Apple/Android users).
What it did
C Spire was the only major US wireless provider to weave the iPhone 18 Pro's manual shutter control into its core storyline, per LBB; the campaign went live across all channels.
Background
To mark Apple's September 2026 unveiling of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Mississippi-based technology company C Spire launched 'Unicorn Quest', a campaign developed with full-service agency Lewis that pairs the new hardware with a down-to-earth story of how it fuels a dad and daughter's imagination.
The :30 hero spot follows a young girl and her father exploring the woods. When she asks to be a unicorn, they set off, using the iPhone to navigate and capture photos along the way — culminating in a magical deer encounter and a photo sent to Mom reading 'We found a unicorn', before closing on the device and C Spire's tagline, 'There's more to C.' Notably, C Spire was the only major US wireless provider to weave the iPhone 18 Pro's new manual shutter control directly into its storyline, turning a feature into a narrative element rather than a demonstration.
Lewis grounded the work in strategy: three audience personas — Apple Aficionados, Apple Loyalists on a Budget, and Best-in-Class Tech (non-Apple/Android users) — analyzed for touchpoints, media habits and feature priorities, combined with competitive analysis before concepting. The campaign went live across TV/OTT, OOH, digital display, search, social, retail and web, building on the agency partnership's previous 'Like a Boss' Super Bowl campaign, with regional storytelling meant to establish warmth and trust that complements the global brand.
Why it lands
Every carrier gets the same phone on the same day; a regional voice and a family story are the only owned differentiation.
Baking the manual shutter into the plot demos the headline new feature without ever cutting to a feature list.
Personas spanning Apple loyalists to Android users let one film serve acquisition across the whole market.
Warmth and trust fit a regional brand whose pitch is being local where national carriers are ubiquitous.
What you can take
A regional carrier wins a global launch by making the spec sheet a plot point — the feature demo becomes a moment between a dad and his daughter.
Since then
The campaign went live in September 2026 across TV/OTT, OOH, digital display, search, social, retail and web, extending the C Spire–Lewis partnership that produced the 'Like a Boss' Super Bowl work.
